Protect your appliances by wrapping them up. Before you place your appliances in the moving truck, you should wrap and package them if you are going to relocate them yourself. You can keep the item in place inside the box and prevent it from being scratched, like a television. Duct tape is also important, as is packing blankets to help protect your electronic belongings. Wait at least 24 hours after delivery before using the refrigerator.
For all appliances, unplug each unit and secure the plug to the back with packing tape. Do not allow cables to hang or come loose. Get the right moving equipment and protect your doors and walkways. If you hire a moving company and need to move kitchen appliances, such as the stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and washer and dryer, the company will insist that these main appliances are prepared before the carriers arrive on the day of the move.
